Hi,
I created a plugin using ChatGPT plugin menu. Now I want to permanently remove/delete them, but I can’t find a way to do so.
Am I missing something or this is a missing feature?
Welcome to the community @msharifi99,
Could you clarify whether you mean a plugin installed in ChatGPT or a custom plugin/action you created yourself?
If it is an installed plugin, it should usually be removable from the Plugins page by selecting the plugin and choosing Uninstall.
Thanks,
A custom plugin I created by myself. It’s in the personal tab under created by me section.
Thanks for clarifying.
This documentation confirms my earlier reply: uninstalling a plugin removes the plugin bundle from the ChatGPT or Codex environment.
Plugins bundle capabilities into reusable workflows in ChatGPT. They can include skills, connectors, or both. Plugins are available in Work mode in ChatGPT on the web and in Work mode or Codex in the ChatGPT desktop app. Codex CLI also has a plugin...
Hope this helps!
Correct, and that is the case for third-party plugins. however for personal plugins even after uninstalling them, they can still be found the in the plugin menu and there is no way to delete them permanently
Ah, thanks for confirming that bit.
I couldn’t find anything about an option to permanently delete custom plugins either. Maybe this would be worth submitting as product feedback?
