Hey @dantispam2001, this is a really thoughtful suggestion and honestly a lot of folks have been hinting at the same gap.

The pricing jump right now can feel pretty steep, especially if you’re using Codex or GPT daily but still working within a tighter budget. The point about accessibility in lower-income regions and comparisons to tools like Copilot also makes a lot of sense.

I’ll pass this along as feedback to the team, especially the idea of a mid-tier plan in that $40–$50 range and how it could bring in more students, freelancers, and independent devs.

I consistently use almost 100% of the $20/month plan, so I definitely need more than it offers. At the same time, I just can’t justify jumping all the way to the $100/month plan.

I’m building apps for my own personal use and don’t have any plans to distribute or sell them. A mid-tier plan in the $40–$50/month range would be the perfect fit for my use case.

You are really sleeping on this one. I am battling between the claude subscription and chagpt for the windows app. because chagpt app and models are more efficient a $50 chatgpt subscription would be equal to a $100 claude subscription. this is a huge unserved layer of the market like myself. This is the perfect balance for me. I don’t need a $100 dollar subscription. You really don’t have to do anything besides including a $50 plan. All layers are then covered. jumping from a $20 unsuficient to a $100 dollar one is big jump for everyone.. Please do it. and you will have clients for life, with the new updates to the desktop super app. chagpt can do all the things claude can but better. @OpenAI_Support
