I regularly use the Advanced Voice mode in my GPT projects, especially for language learning.
However, I’ve noticed it’s no longer working properly, despite previously using it without issues. Now, when I try to enable Advanced Voice mode in my project, I receive an error message saying it’s not available.
I’ve tested on my iPad, and it works sometimes, but on my iPhone, it no longer works. Eventually, it stops working on both devices altogether.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues or found a solution?

Yea I have noticed the same thing. No clue why its happening, specially when I’m paying for this subscription.
YES EXACTLY! I’ve been having problems with the talking feature for the past couple of days and it’s driving me insane! It used to be able to be handsfree but now it requires me to press the button once I stop talking and also so many times it takes NOTHING I say and I have to say everything all over again
I’ve noticed this to be the case with all chats inside a project. the ones that reside by themselves, not within a project work fine on both my Windows and Mac machines…the mobile app seems a bit quirkier. Not much of an answer, just saying that yes, someone else is seeing it too.
I’m having issues with voice record in projects, it records, then when I send it clears, and I lose the button to send anything at all, not even text. Have to force restart the app on Android.
I’m experiencing the same issue on iPhone 12 Pro Max (ChatGPT Pro plan). Voice conversations started inside a Project always fall back to the old speaking style - the flat, slower, robotic legacy voice - instead of the natural expressive Advanced Voice. The same fallback happens in chats that contain file attachments. Standalone chats without attachments get the proper voice, so keeping voice chats outside Projects is the only workaround I have found. The core problem: the voice quality users pay for is silently downgraded to the old text-to-speech style whenever Projects or attachments are involved. This has been reported since March 2025 with no official response - please prioritize a fix.
