Masashi Sugiyama, Center Director delivered an ELLIS Distinguished Lecture at Aalto University in Finland on May 11, 2026.

Title: Machine Learning from Imperfect Information: Foundations of Robust Intelligence in the Era of Foundation Models.

The lecture was hosted by Professor Samuel Kaski of ELLIS Institute Finland and Aalto University, and was held following the joint workshop between ELLIS Institute Finland and RIKEN AIP earlier that day.
