I feel like my workflow was much better when Codex was separate from Chat Gpt. This new ChatGPT absorption of Codex does not work well with the way I used to work at all. Only because the way I worked before: ChatGPT writes directive prompts to Codex, Codex executes and returns the finished product. And the reason I worked this way is, well ironically because ChatGPT “talks to damn much.” Codex on the other hand, once given full and clear directives gets right down to business and delivers what I want. ChatGPT’s more of a manager type interface for Codex because if I give ChatGPT instructions to let’s say create a website, ChatGPT always want’s to discuss, over analyze, and give suggestions. Now there’s no way around the over discussing and analysis.

All I can tell you is… I agree.
I’m still keeping GPT Classic - I still only use Codex in Codex.
For me, the switching feature is as irritating as the constant problems since 5.6. (5.5 was divine - 5.6 was a soggy hot dog).
