I am writing to request a new feature for ChatGPT. I have found the model to be very helpful and accurate in answering my questions, but I would like to suggest a feature that would greatly enhance my experience with the model.

I would like to request the ability to convert temporary chats into permanent conversations or save them somewhere for future access. Sometimes, while using a temporary chat, I come across a useful suggestion, idea, explanation, or piece of information that I may want to refer to later. However, since the chat is temporary, there is no convenient way to preserve it for future use.

It would be very helpful if ChatGPT provided an option such as “Save Chat”, “Convert to Permanent Chat”, or “Move to Chat History” for temporary conversations. This would allow users to preserve valuable conversations whenever they realize that they may need them again later.

I believe this feature would greatly improve the user experience by giving users more flexibility and ensuring that useful information is not lost simply because the conversation was initially started as a temporary chat.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider implementing this feature in a future update to ChatGPT.
