I would like to suggest a feature that could make ChatGPT Voice dramatically more natural, engaging, and human-centered.

My suggestion is to introduce an optional human-like visual avatar for ChatGPT Voice Mode.

Imagine opening Voice Mode and seeing a realistic AI-generated face on the screen — male or female, selected by the user — that looks at you, maintains natural eye contact, listens attentively, and responds with synchronized speech and facial expressions.

The avatar could:

• Maintain natural eye contact

• Blink and react naturally

• Show appropriate facial expressions

• Synchronize its lips accurately with speech

• Look attentive while the user is speaking

• Allow users to choose a male or female appearance

• Offer different professional and friendly visual personalities

• React naturally to interruptions and changes in conversation

The key idea is that this should not simply be a talking picture. It should feel like a natural face-to-face conversation with an intelligent AI assistant.

Humans naturally communicate through eye contact, facial expressions, and visual reactions — not only through words and sound.

ChatGPT Voice is already extremely impressive, but adding an optional visual presence could make the experience much more natural, engaging, and emotionally connected.

This could be especially valuable for education, language learning, accessibility, elderly users, customer service, and everyday personal assistance.

The feature should remain completely optional. Users who prefer the current voice-only experience could continue using it.

Don’t just talk to ChatGPT — let us have a face-to-face conversation with ChatGPT.

I strongly encourage the OpenAI team to consider this as a future feature for ChatGPT.
