Higgsfield's Cinema Studio just hit version 4, and the update closes the gap between what AI video tools can do and what a real film set actually looks like. The release stacks eight new production controls on top of the v3.5 foundation, pushing the platform further into territory that used to require a full crew.
What just shipped
Cinema Studio 4 is live now on Higgsfield. The full list of additions:
- 30+ new camera movement presets, expanding the library of dolly, pan, crane, and FPV-style moves
- 2-source Video Lighting Console, mixing two independent light sources per shot with control over direction, intensity, and color temperature
- Color grading with 50+ palettes, from orange-teal cinema looks to desaturated noir, applied at the scene level
- Acting Console with 6 emotions at 3 intensity levels, dialing in happiness, fear, anger, and more at subtle, moderate, or intense levels per character
- Video Extend, which extends any clip forward, backward, or bridges two clips together
- Scene-level editing inside a single generation, allowing targeted changes without re-generating the entire shot
- Asset management for collaborative work, with shared element libraries across team projects
- New camera, lens, and aperture options, adding more virtual glass to simulate different optical signatures
The Acting Console is the most technically interesting addition. Rather than burying emotion in a text prompt and hoping the model interprets it correctly, you now have a structured parameter: pick the emotion, pick the intensity, and the generation reflects it. That kind of deterministic control over character performance is something most AI video tools still leave entirely to prompt engineering.
