Hi everyone, I’m currently having an issue with using ChatGPT Work. I’m not sure whether sessions on the desktop app are synchronized with the web version. The last time I used it, my session disappeared.
Also, if I work on the app, will the process stop if my internet connection is lost? I need to process around 100 files, but the web chat is not sufficient for uploading more than 20 files.
Are there any important things I should keep in mind? Thanks

Are you signed in to the same ChatGPT account on both? Where exactly did your session disappear, from the desktop app, the web version or both? How long was it missing and did it eventually return? Also, which operating system and desktop app version are you using?
I’ve also noticed that a Work session can occasionally disappear temporarily and then appear again.
Since it sounds like you’re using Work locally, losing your internet connection may pause or interrupt the running task. OpenAI recommends pausing a local goal before an expected loss of connectivity and resuming it afterward: Long-running work.
If you select Cloud, OpenAI says the work can continue after you close the desktop app or turn off your computer and you can continue the chat from the web or mobile app: Get started with ChatGPT Work.
I would also try the usual troubleshooting steps: update and restart the desktop app, confirm that both surfaces use the same account and sign out and back in if necessary.
For the approximately 100 files, the desktop app should be more suitable because you can open a folder and allow ChatGPT to use the files and context in that location, instead of uploading every file individually through the web chat: ChatGPT desktop app.
