I think it would be incredibly useful to have a “Create Semantic Package” option for any conversation. ChatGPT would analyze the chat and generate a compact structured file—such as JSON—containing the major concepts, summaries, relationships, decisions, unresolved questions, idea development, and references back to the original conversation.

The interface could be very simple: a button near Share/Export, perhaps with Quick and Deep analysis options. The resulting package could be downloaded and reused in visualization tools (node-based maps or graphs), other LLMs, local models, or future ChatGPT sessions.

Notably, these could easily be shared with others, with levels of privacy you decide (maybe the source material isn’t available, just the summaries/connections). Imagine being able to browse through a mapped version of a major project done by a top-tier researcher, for example. Or maybe it’s a writer’s process for their latest novel…a musician’s process for their latest album. Each export would follow a consistent pattern, so they could also be combined easily.

For research, education, writing, brainstorming, creative work, and project development, the most useful artifact is often not the (long!) transcript itself, but the structure and evolution of the thinking that occurred within it. That’s what these exports would provide.
