I’d love to see a feature that allows two or more ChatGPT users to connect their personal ChatGPTs in a shared space, with explicit consent over what information, preferences, and memories are shared.

The idea is that each person’s ChatGPT already understands their individual preferences, personality, interests and previous conversations. By allowing users to selectively share this information, ChatGPT could combine those perspectives to provide much more personalised recommendations and planning for people doing things together.

Two people could invite each other into a shared AI space.

Before joining, each person would choose exactly what categories of information their ChatGPT is allowed to share, ( I.E Favourite restaurants, Travel preferences, Music and entertainment, Hobbies and interests, Budget preferences, Gift ideas, Places they enjoy visiting, Things they dislike, Shared plans)

Private conversations and sensitive information would remain private unless the user explicitly chose to share them.

Would be great for me and my boyfriend to just say “Can you plan us a date night for Saturday?”

Instead of giving generic suggestions, both ChatGPTs could combine what they know about each person.

One person’s ChatGPT might know that they love cheesy music, cocktails, fun activities and romantic restaurants, while the other person’s ChatGPT might know that they love history, Marvel, Pokémon, music and Lego.

The shared AI could then find the overlap between both people’s interests and suggest something that genuinely suits them both.

“You both enjoy music and fun activities, but one of you prefers quieter restaurants while the other prefers somewhere lively, so I’ve chosen this area and restaurant as a compromise.”

It would be great for Couples planning dates, birthdays and surprises, Group holidays, Finding restaurants both people would enjoy, Choosing gifts, Making joint purchases

The most important part would be user-controlled sharing. Each user should be able to see exactly what their ChatGPT is sharing and revoke access at any time. This would allow people to get the benefits of personalised collaboration without giving another person access to their private ChatGPT conversations.

Rather than simply having a group chat where multiple people talk to one AI, this would allow multiple personalised AIs to collaborate.

Each AI understands its own user, while the shared space understands the preferences that both users have chosen to make available.

It would essentially create a consent-based shared intelligence layer for people who make decisions together. For couples especially, this could make ChatGPT feel less like an individual assistant and more like a shared relationship assistant that helps both people discover things they will genuinely enjoy together. I think this could be a really exciting direction for ChatGPT and would make personalised recommendations, planning and shared experiences significantly better.
