On 12 August, I had used 10% of my weekly limit. This was due to be reset on 16 August. I planned my work accordingly to spread my token usage sensibly over the remaining days. On 13 August, the weekly limit was unexpectedly reset. The new reset date is 20 August. The result: the reset date has been POSTPONED from 16 August to 20 August. I’ve lost ALMOST ALL my remaining tokens and have to replan everything.

My question: Is this a dirty trick by OpenAI to save money? If a user has used up less than 10%, do they immediately reset the limit and save themselves four days’ worth of token usage?! As a developer, it’s impossible to work seriously with Codex like this.

I am very disappointed that OpenAI (just like Anthropic) is resorting to tricks to save money at the expense of subscribers who pay a high price.

My account is Pro 20x, why is my credit limit being used up much faster than before? Many other 20x users around me have reported the same issue. Is this a bug? And my credit limit is already completely used up.
