I was falsely banned and the ban-email provided no reason for why I was banned.
The support was transferred to a “specialist team” and there has been 0 communication since then. I received no reply to my emails no reason for why i was banned yet i am still banned. I am not even able to download my data.
I have 0 clue why i was banned as i did not violate any terms of service. Any one else having the same issue?
Hello, I also have the same issue Pro x5 Account Randomly Deleted/Deactivated - #10 by SkinnyBiggie and I haven’t received any news or help so far. I also sent an email to support with extra information, Case Number: 10572088, appeal: [C-9ezQNZeTkWJb]
My case number: 09779603
I have seen multiple others post about the same thing. https://status.openai.com/incidents/ejj40mae shows it as resolved but it is not resolved
Any update on my case? Still no response anywhere.
I don’t want to have to keep creating new topics about this @OpenAI_Support please let me know of any updates, i still have not received any response in almost a month since it was escalated to a “Specialized Team” and I haven’t gotten any updates here.
Is anyone still looking at my case or what is happening?
I am on the same boat as you, once you submitted an appeal all you can do it wait. This created some issues:
- Lack of clarity - No one will tell you what you did, because they do not want to disclose the detection algorithm.
- Lack of follow up - once the appeal is sent, you cannot follow up with more information
- Lack of access - normal support have no access to the account when your account is “banned” or “deactivated”.
- Lack of refund - assuming you want out because of the unpleasant experiences, they won’t give refunds when account is “banned” or “deactivated”. I will cancel any automatic payment so they cannot bill you during the wait.
I believe OAI’s internal security messed up some time ago and auto banned a lot of accounts, since appeals must be done by human and I think they have a very small team of people actually does the work as AI likely did most of the heavy lifting.
