It’s been more than a week now; I have not received any reply to my last email.
My 5.5 Pro Extended is still failing and replying through 5.3 Mini.

Same issue. Have opened a support ticket. They gave boilerplate. But said: reach out if it continues to happen on brand new threads/chats, which it is/does — so an active support thread.
10+ days and still waiting for a reply from OpenAI. This is pathetic.

Just checked — this routing issue doesn’t appear in iOS or macOS, only on web. Also doesn’t seem to discriminate on IP address. I think it’s a Trust/model-restriction bug.
Workaround thus: iOS + macOS native apps for now.
Update: I spoke to soon. 
Not True. I used iPad to have a try, not useful.
