A research group led by Masaaki Komatsu, Deputy Team Director of the AI Medical Engineering Team, received the Excellent General Presentation Award for their research presentation at the 8th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association for Medical Artificial Intelligence (JMAI).
The JMAI is an academic society dedicated to promoting research and education in artificial intelligence (AI) for healthcare and contributing to the advancement of medicine in Japan. The society provides a platform for academic exchange among researchers and professionals from diverse fields, including basic medicine, clinical medicine, information science, and systems engineering, with the goal of advancing medical AI and its implementation in society.
The award is presented by the JMAI to recognize outstanding research presentations that contribute to the advancement of scholarship in the field of medical AI. Approximately 10–12 individuals are honored each year.
