AI code testing platform Blacksmith has raised $45 million in Series B funding at a valuation of $550 million. The round was led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from existing investors Google Ventures (GV) and Y Combinator, taking the startup’s total funding to $58.5 million. The proceeds will be used to expand into a broader suite of coding tools and help developers write, validate, and merge software faster, Blacksmith said in a press release. Co-founded in 2024 by Aditya Jayaprakash, Aayush Shah, and Aditya Maru, Blacksmith provides a cloud platform for running GitHub Actions continuous integration (CI) workflows. My gut tells me, that as much as we love privacy, we’re in a world with autonomous agents now, and until some sci-fi future where those become independent legal entities to be held accountable for their own actions, which is probably still many philosophical and technical light years away from happening, there will be even MORE “KYC” (know your customer) protocols put into accessing models and agents than less. So if those things are your concern, you best invest in a decent GPU and look to the open models for your needs… they don’t ask questions and nothing leaves your machine. You want to fly anon? Build your own plane. You want to fly a high end commercial plane? You’re gonna need ID and maybe more. Cause one endangers you, the other could theoretically endanger the plane maker legally, or the people in your path when you take off.

Home services marketplace Urban Company witnessed a block deal worth around Rs 428.4 crore, involving 3.15 crore shares or 2.13% of the company's total share capital. According to NSE block deal data, 3.15 crore shares of the home services platform changed hands at Rs 136 per share. SBI Mutual Fund reportedly is the buyer, while Accel and VY Capital are the sellers. SBI Mutual Fund has been steadily increasing its exposure to Urban Company. The mutual fund had acquired an additional 4% stake in the company through bulk and block deals worth Rs 632 crore in March 2026. Its stake in the company stood at 6.59% before the latest transaction. Prior to the latest transaction, Accel held a 6.99% stake in Urban Company, while VY Capital held around 12.9% through four entities: Vyc11 Limited, Vyc23 Limited, Dharana Fund, L.P., and Dharanauc Limited, according to the company’s shareholding data.
