Mirae Asset Venture Investments closes MAVOF II at Rs 1,125 Cr
Mirae Asset Venture Investments India (MAVI India), the venture capital arm of Mirae Asset Financial Group, has announced the first close of its second Mirae Asset Venture Opportunity Fund (MAVOF II) at Rs 1,125 crore. The fund has a target corpus of Rs 1,800 crore and will back Indian startups across technology platforms, AI and software, deeptech, advanced manufacturing and consumer discretionary. MAVOF II is backed by the Rs 6,000 crore India focused Unicorn Growth Fund l aunched by MAVI India in April 2026 in partnership with South Korean technology companies KRAFTON and Naver. The fund is among the largest capital pools raised from Asia for Indian startups. The Unicorn Growth Fund primarily targets growth stage startups and focuses on technology platforms, consumer discretionary, AI and software, and deeptech. Its investment themes include consumer internet, digital marketplaces, generative and applied AI, enterprise SaaS, semiconductors, spacetech, robotics and advanced materials. MAVOF II is MAVI India's third dedicated India focused private fund. It will primarily invest in early growth companies that have achieved product market fit and are entering their next phase of scale. MAVI India said the fund will focus on companies with the potential to become category leaders in India and global markets. Centricity raises Rs 280 Cr in Series A round led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund
Gurugram-based wealth management company Centricity has raised Rs 280 crore (approximately $30 million) in its Series A funding round, led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund. Existing investors, including Lightspeed India Partners, Burman Family Office, RAAY Investments, Stride Venture and Innoven Capital, also participated in the round. Entrackr had exclusively reported about the deal in May this year. Centricity had earlier raised $4 million in 2022 and $18 million in 2024. The company plans to expand its operations in India and international markets, including through its GIFT City and DIFC-based offerings. The fresh funds will be used to improve its technology platform, expand its distribution network and grow its private wealth and NRI businesses. Centricity plans to add more than 50 private bankers in India and 35-40 NRI bankers. Founded in 2022, Centricity provides wealth management services to financial advisors, family offices and high net worth individuals. Its businesses include One Digital, Invictus Private Wealth and Centricity Global Private Client. The company offers investment products such as mutual funds, insurance, bonds, PMS, AIFs and global investment options. Hello, I am reporting a serious data-loss incident that occurred on August 12, 2026, while I was using the Codex App for Windows. I am only including details that I can currently confirm from the available records. The incident occurred between approximately 9:48 PM and 9:55 PM. During that period, a recursive deletion was executed in Windows. The deletion was not limited to the intended project folder. It affected the root of my C: drive, Program Files , and other directories. The affected drive is a 1TB NVMe SSD using NTFS, with TRIM enabled. After the incident, Windows could still start, but many Windows functions and installed applications no longer worked because a substantial number of files had been deleted. I did not format the drive, run CHKDSK, reinstall Windows, or intentionally delete these system directories. After realizing what had happened, I focused on preserving the remaining data and investigating recovery options. I have reviewed the available Codex task history. The visible task from that day mainly concerned diagnosing a CorelDRAW 2020 plugin problem. However, I have not yet located the exact command responsible for the large-scale deletion in the records available to me. Therefore, I am not claiming that I have already determined the precise technical cause. I am asking OpenAI to investigate the relevant Codex session and command-execution logs. Hello OpenAI Team, I would like to provide feedback about the recent ChatGPT sidebar and chat history experience on Android. I strongly prefer the previous sidebar design. In the previous experience, conversations I had created remained visible in the chat history, allowing me to scroll through and revisit older conversations naturally. With the current design, older conversations can disappear from the visible sidebar after I create several new chats. Although those conversations may still be available through Search, having to search for conversations that were previously accessible directly from the sidebar makes the experience significantly less convenient. For users who create many separate conversations for different topics, the chat history is not merely a list of recent chats—it is an important way to organize and revisit information. What I would like to see Please consider one of the following options: Bring back the classic sidebar , where users can continuously scroll through their conversation history. Alternatively, provide a “Classic Sidebar” / “Old Chat History” option in Settings. Yatra Online profit plunges 98% in Q1 FY27
Online travel company Yatra Online saw its revenue and profitability decline in the first quarter of FY27, even as its overall bookings continued to grow. The company’s revenue from operations fell 10.4% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 187.9 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 209.8 crore in the same quarter last year. Total income, including other income, stood at Rs 192 crore during the quarter, down from Rs 215.4 crore a year earlier. Yatra’s profit after tax (PAT) declined sharply by 98% to Rs 34 lakhs from Rs 16 crore in Q1 FY26. The company’s expenses also remained high during the quarter. Service costs stood at Rs 65.2 crore, while employee benefit expenses rose to Rs 45.6 crore from Rs 39.6 crore a year earlier. Other expenses increased to Rs 47.3 crore from Rs 37.2 crore. Finance costs almost doubled to Rs 4.6 crore from Rs 2.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. Depreciation and amortisation expenses also rose 22% to Rs 11.2 crore. Despite the weak financial performance, Yatra continued to see growth in bookings. Its gross bookings increased 17% YoY to around Rs 2,101 crore in Q1 FY27. According to the investor presentation, its adjusted EBITDA also grew to Rs 21.6 crore from Rs 20.6 crore in the year-ago period. The contrasting performance shows the pressure on Yatra’s reported profitability despite healthy booking growth. Account Deletion Doesn’t Prevent A Ban Right?
A friend and I have been talking about our ChatGPT usage and apparently he used to screw with ChatGPT a lot, used to say the most heinous stuff (don’t worry he didn’t cross into illegal material territory or that sort of stuff) but still like did stuff that would generally be considered a severe violation on the platform. He reckons that not long after he then deleted his account and successfully returned with the exact same email address, phone number etc. I have a feeling he’s not telling the truth about it because surely OpenAI wouldn’t just let a user commit severe violations on their platform only to be able to just delete and return after it on the same identifiers, they seem too sophisticated to just allow that to happen. Especially when we take into account that one of the reasons the 30 day cooldown exists is for abuse monitoring, as well as the fact that they can retain data related to abuse after the 30 days, on top of them only allowing email and other identifier reuse if the account was fully deleted and the wasn’t associated with policy violations? Am I correct here or is this a genuine flaw in the system? Like surely they could easily just ban the identifiers.
