Constant cybersecurity false positives and unable to sign-up for cyber
I’ve been constantly running into false positive issues lately with Codex, but today is particularly bad. I’ve been running an automated (general) review of a fairly large project that we started working on before ChatGPT was even released. I hadn’t even asked it to run a security audit (though that would be ideal). It is frequently stopping work because it runs into the automated classifiers which trigger false positives. I’ve been able to get codex to verify that I’m the majority shareholder of the company via ISED, that we own the trademarks in ~3 dozen countries for the software we’re working on via WIPO, that the source code and all proprietary libraries (written by us as well) are available on my system, the website source code is available on my system, and that information about me owning the software/company are available on reputable websites. It should have no issue verifying that a general audit is safe, but it still runs into false positives with the classifiers. We can’t even sign-up for basic TAC because we receive this message: “Your identity couldn’t be verified or your account is ineligible at this time”. I reached out to support and they said there’s nothing they can do. I suspect either account age or an abundance of false positives have contributed to this, but it’s truly just speculation on my part. Adjustable speed would make Read Aloud much more flexible, especially for language learning where being able to slow down pronunciation can make it easier to pick out individual words and phrases. We have seen similar requests for playback speed controls before, so the added context around Thai learning, pronunciation practice, and shadowing is really useful. I also like the idea of remembering a preferred speed instead of having to adjust it every time. That would make the feature much more practical for people who regularly listen at a different pace. Feature suggestion: Localized or user-selectable nicknames for ChatGPT I would like to suggest “Çatapat” as a Turkish nickname for ChatGPT. In Turkish, “ChatGPT” does not flow very naturally in everyday speech. During regular conversations, I started calling the assistant “Çatapat.” It is playful, easy to pronounce in Turkish, memorable, and still phonetically reminiscent of “ChatGPT.” What started as a joke actually made the interaction feel much more natural. Instead of addressing a product or an application, it feels like addressing the same assistant I interact with every day. This led me to a broader product idea: ChatGPT could allow users to choose a personal or localized nickname for their assistant. The official product would, of course, remain ChatGPT. The nickname would simply be the name the assistant recognizes and uses during conversation, Voice Mode, notifications, cross-device interactions, and potentially future assistant experiences. Feature Request: Password/PIN Protection for ChatGPT Projects

This is an interesting idea, especially for users who keep personal or sensitive work inside Projects and want an extra layer of protection without locking the entire ChatGPT account. ChatGPT already has account level security options, but there is currently no separate PIN or password lock for individual Projects. A Project specific lock, with optional biometric authentication where supported, could give users more control over which areas remain accessible on a shared device. We have also seen similar feedback around adding stronger privacy controls for individual Projects, so the additional detail about how you would expect the locking flow to work is helpful. Release: alchemy-utils 0.1a0 I've long pondered what a database agnostic version of my sqlite-utils Python library and CLI utility might look like. This morning (literally a shower project) I tasked Codex and GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra with building a prototype: Do a research spike to see what it would take to build a library with the same core API as SQLite-utils - in particular the insert and upsert and insert_all and upsert_all and create and update methods, and the table introspection stuff - but backed by SQLalchemy so it works for multiple database engines Test against PostgreSQL and SQLite and duckdb Use ~/dev/sqlite-utils for reference Create a git repo for this and commit and early and often - use uv init to start the project - use red/green TDD and pytest, see ~/dev/django-sql-dashboard for one idea as to how the PostgreSQL tests could work It took very few follow-up prompts to produce this project in a state good enough to release as an alpha.
